The Practice Exchange Program
Participants will meet once a month from January 2027, for a total of three sessions. Each session will take place on a Sunday at 6pm GMT (London time).
This programme is informed by collective learning, mutual support, care and self-organising.
Creatives don't always only need more information, we often most need spaces in which we can think alongside one another.
This space creates the conditions for that thinking to happen and will be adapted to the needs of its participants.
If the group grows beyond 20 participants, we’ll split the cohort into two smaller groups and offer each monthly session twice. Dates and groups will be announced November 30th.
Session 1
● Develop group guidelines for creating a respectful and supportive space.
● Explore the roots and influences of individual artistic practices.
● Share current work and identify skills to share and areas for development.
Session 2
● Use a listening-based drawing exercise to reflect on our environments and ways of paying attention.
● Practice constructive, open-ended feedback and attentive listening.
● Sharing resources, questions and reflections
Session 3
● Share an artwork, idea, encounter or reference that has inspired us over the past month.
● Explore connections and points of exchange between different practices.
● Reflect on how peer exchange can inform and support artistic development.
Sessions will not be recorded
The Practice Exchange is designed as a live, continuous group experience rather than a series of standalone sessions. We ask participants to join live with the intention of attending the full programme.
The conversations may involve work in progress, personal reflections and wider questions around artistic practice, so we want to create a space where everyone can speak openly and comfortably.
