About Alternative Processes

Alternative Processes is an organisation and creative learning platform dedicated to historical, experimental, and sustainable photographic processes. It functions as both a learning hub and a creative community for photographers and artists interested in process-led, materially grounded photography.

Alternative Processes was founded out of a personal commitment to make analogue and experimental photographic techniques accessible to a global audience, especially people who may not have easy access to traditional facilities or in-person workshops. The organisation places emphasis on exploration, deep research, and experimentation with photographic processes that are often overlooked in conventional photography education.

We love when

artists stop being confined to the belief that photography = printed paper. Through exhibitions, workshops, artists features and interviews, we are spreading the word about Alternative Processes and their sculptural quality.

We want to make this art accessible, bring you inspiration everyday & create a global community.
